"NAH" just about summed up my feelings though SHODAN just pulled the VR stuff out of her butt it seemed, they barely built up to it and it seems like she'd be way stronger at that point, at the height of her power, than they made it seem. At least put of a quick video online showing the original storyboard so some talented group of animators can recreate the damn thing!
I hope they remake the game with the ending that crew originally wanted to put in the game. Then the derpy facial expressions by SHODAN didn't make the ending any better. All I get was a quick zooming in of a nose the size of Australia and "nah". I was expecting a ending on epic proportions once SHODAN asked the protagonist to aid her in her goal to conquer space and time, but NOOOOO. Then the damn ending comes along and singlehandedly ruins my enjoyment of the game. I was mad at myself for not playing this sooner. The atmosphere, the dialogue, the immersion was amazing. I have never felt chills constantly run down my back from any game, movie, TV show, or book until I decided to play this gem. That is what the ending felt like: horrible. You decide to stop eating a never try the food again. It is too late to turn back, so you tell yourself that the food was still delicious, however, your attempts are null. All of a sudden, the taste that the food left in your mount turns bad and your appetite is shot. Then right before you are ready to take the last bite, the cook reveals what is in the food (think of something disgusting like Casu Marzu or Soft-Boiled Fetal Duck. You praise and thank the cook for making such a delicious meal, which is met with a positive response.
You are about to finish when the cook comes over and makes a remark about the food. You are eating your meal like you were raised in a undeveloped fourth world country where cardboard boxes is considered a delicacy. You become more and more interested as each person tells you about the meal, so you decide to go and see what the big deal is about.Īfter the first bite, you are hooked. Sooner or later, some people find you and start telling you how great the food is.
You are a little hungry, but you are doing whatever is preventing you from sitting down with the rest of the group and eating, so you stay where you are. You smell the delicious aroma from the food in the kitchen and hear everyone settling in and eating. It single handedly ruined the game for me.įor example, pretend that you are a guest at someone's house and staying for a big dinner.
